How to Make Air Fryer Ravioli

Start by preheating your air fryer to 400 degrees. I love to prepare my food while the air fryer is preheating to help move things along.

Take your frozen ravioli out of the fridge and place it to the side. Put the buttermilk in a bowl and breadcrumbs in another bowl.

Dip your frozen ravioli into the buttermilk fully and then into the breadcrumbs, making sure you coat the ravioli as much as possible.

Place the breaded ravioli into the preheated air fryer in a single layer and not touching for 3 minutes.

Open the drawer of your air fryer and spritz the top of the ravioli with oil using an EVO Oil Mister, close the drawer, and cook the air fryer ravioli another 3 to 4 minutes until golden on top.

I find coating the ravioli with a little oil halfway through is the key to making delicious air fried ravioli.

Remove the air fried ravioli from the air fryer and serve with marinara sauce immediately.

Refrigerate leftovers for up to 5 days in the fridge and up to 3 months in the freezer.

How to Reheat Air Fryer Ravioli from Refrigerated

Preheat your air fryer to 380 degrees and cook for 2-3 minutes until the ravioli and heated thoroughly.

I love cooking more food than I can eat and reheating it in the air fryer the next day. It’s such a time saver and the airflow in the appliance allows for the food to get crispy again.

How to Heat Frozen Toasted Ravioli in the Air Fryer

Air fryers are amazing at heating frozen foods to crispy perfection.

Simply preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees, spritz the frozen ravioli with a little oil, and cook it for 3 to 4 minutes until warmed thoroughly.

These directions also work on store-bought toasted ravioli like Louisa Toasted Ravioli. The ravioli heats right up in the air fryer for a crispy appetizer or dinner.

What If My Breaded Ravioli Looks Dry?

This recipe uses a unique trick to making your food taste like deep-fried without containing too much oil.

I tested this recipe about 10 times to find the perfect trick to making sure the food doesn’t taste oily but doesn’t come out tasty dried out.

The simple trick? Spritzing the ravioli on top halfway through cooking. I use an EVO Oil Sprayer to easily add just the right amount of oil, but you can also use a basting brush to brush just a small amount of oil on top.

Then stick it back into the air fryer for a few minutes to allow the oiled breading to crisp up one last time.

Voila, perfectly crispy but moist toasted ravioli that tastes like it’s deep-fried.

I Don’t Have Buttermilk! What Else Can I Use?

I prefer the taste of buttermilk on these air fried raviolis, but I know not everyone has it on hand.

The good news is you can make your own buttermilk very easily.

Add 2 teaspoons of white vinegar into a liquid measuring cup and then using milk, fill it up to the 1/2 cup line.

Stir it to combine and then let the buttermilk sit for 5 minutes.

It should thicken up and curdle the milk slightly creating your own buttermilk!
