SAP SuccessFactors BizX and LMS Integration Tips (2024)

• In this article, we aim to present BizX & LMS platform integration and make it more clear for all consultants and customers, we will cover some points over the integration.
• Many SAP customers and implementation consultants wonder how integration does happen with these two platforms.
• In Best Practices, you can see that BizX and LMS default mapping fields are already predefined as follows,

• First, you need to define connector settings based on your customer's sftp credentials. Example is below,

• Employee Export job is used in Provisioning in order to send basic info to LMS Platform. Alternatively, you may use integration center in order to integrate SuccessFactors users with LMS.

Let's touch some key points!

• You may not want to use some standard mapping. In our integration scenario, we don't use REGION=DIVISION mapping. If you use this mapping, all division data will be appeared in item request screen (Preferred Region). We have only one region which is our customer's region Turkey. That's why default mapping is not preferable.

• If you want your system to notify your employees with user requested schedule offering notification, you need to connect your company region with your company facilities. Whatever Preferred Location (Facilities) your employees choose, they will be notified for that scheduled offering. If you don't have any region, your employee will not be notified from any scheduled offering. That's why region mapping is critical.

• If you need to map one of customisable fields of basic user info template with LMS, you need to use CUSTOM field mapping as follows,

• If you have more than 15 custom fields which need to be mapped, you can check the KBA 2148513 .
• You can see some mapping fields that you may need for your project as follows,

• By default, HR Business Partner field is not mapped. You need to map it as HRBP=HR , if required for scheduled offering registration approval process.
• If you have many employees who have more than one manager, you need to map with Alternate Supervisor 1 and 2 . If you have a manager step in registration approval process, all alternate manager will be notified, when your employees are registering a scheduled offering.
• Also, you need to connect some competency mapping here in connectors in order to connect competencies with items.

• If you don't want a basic info field to integrate with LMS, simply make that field blank as follows,

sfuser.field.mapping.data.PHON_NUM1=

• You may need to copy value of a field to another field. In this scenario, you need to use this property as follows,

sfuser.connector.copy.field.mappings=

• Mapping options will be different with respect to customers' business needs. There is no other connector configurations mentioned in this article. I hope this article would be helpful for all SAP SuccessFactors customers and consultants.
